Let´s learn about London


Tower Bridge is a moveable bridge in London (England), over the river Thames. It is close to another monument: The Tower of London. It was built in 1894 by Horace Jones and it was created to join west and east areas. People can visit it and see how it works and enjoy beautiful views of London from the high level walkways.




Task: Seek information about 3 more monuments in London. Some examples are: Big Ben, Tower of London, London Eye, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, St Paul´s Cathedral, The Monument... Then, answer the following questions and add a photograph of the monument:

  1. What is it?
  2. When was it built?
  3. Why was it built?
  4. Who did it?
